The John Mackey Award is one of the most prestigious awards in college football. Named after Syracuse graduate and legendary NFL tight end John Mackey, the award is presented to the best tight end in the nation. Mackey was a five time pro-bowler who strived for greatness on and off the field, later becoming President of the NFL Players Association. This renowned award has gone to future NFL superstars like Dallas Clark, Kellen Winslow, and Tyler Eifert.
