Junior Johnathan Brantley and sophomore Harry Woodbery are expected to split time for the Panthers. A Tulane transfer, Brantley passed for 101 yards and rushed for 193 yards and 3 TDs last year. He’s the better runner between the two. Woodbery passed for 2,131 yards and 12 touchdowns in 10 games at Navarro (Texas) Junior College last season.
Sophomore Cole Kelley edged junior Ty Storey to earn the start for the University of Arkansas. Kelley (87-151-4, 1,038 yards, 8 TDs) is more physical and fiery. Storey, whose role as the top backup in 2016 was limited, is more cerebral.
