Hogs red-faced in red zone

The red zone was a black hole for Arkansas' offense Saturday at War Memorial Stadium.

Arkansas took snaps at Toledo's 20-yard line or closer on five drives but scored only once, and that was on Cole Hedlund's 25-yard field goal.

The Razorbacks' repeated red-zone miscues added up to a 16-12 loss to the Rockets.

"We couldn't punch it in for the life of us today," Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen said. "You can't win against anybody when you're 1 for 5 in the red zone."

Arkansas outgained Toledo 515 to 318 yards in total offense.

"You can gain all the yards you want," said Allen, who completed 32 of 53 passes for a career-high 412 yards.
