FAYETTEVILLE — Michael Bernal's two-run single in the eighth inning lifted Arkansas to a 3-1 win over Auburn Sunday afternoon.
The No. 18 Razorbacks trailed most of the game, after Jackson Burgreen homered the leadoff the third inning.
It was Burgreen's first home run since March 2013 and appeared to be the start of a big inning for the Tigers.
Auburn loaded the bases and chased Arkansas starter Barrett Loseke, but couldn't get a runner across the plate. The Tigers stranded eight more runners over the next six innings, giving the Razorbacks a chance.
They threatened to add to their lead in the seventh, putting runners on the corners with two outs.
