When he drove daggers into the hearts of Arkansas basketball fans in late March, Darrion Williams was in Texas Tech togs.
The 6-foot-6 swingman nailed a three in the final seconds of regulation to send the game to overtime. He then made an overtime bucket to complete the comeback against the Hogs en route to the Elite 8.
He also flexed, woofed and scowled his way to 20 points and nine boards in the 85-83 victory. Razorback fans loathed it.
Could they put that behind them and embrace him? There’s a chance we find out, as Williams jumped into both the transfer portal and the NBA Draft pool, holding off on officially choosing one or the other until he is comfortable with his position either way.
