FAYETTEVILLE — A pair of Arkansas athletes missed the final cut for The Bowerman, which is presented to the best male and female athletes in college track & field.
Hurdler Omar McLeod and pole vaulter Sandi Morris were not among the three finalists for the men's or women's awards. Both had been among 10 semifinalists.
McLeod won a pair of individual national championships as a sophomore for the Razorbacks and was a member of Arkansas' winning 400 relay team outdoors. Morris won the NCAA indoor championship and finished second outdoors as a senior. At the SEC outdoor meet in May, Morris set the collegiate pole vault record.
