FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas will likely change its starting pitching rotation for this weekend's series against Western Illinois.
Razorbacks coach Dave Van Horn said freshman right-hander Blaine Knight isn't likely to start during the series, although the final determination has yet to be made. Knight has started three weekend games this season, but has struggled in his last two outings.
Knight gave up five runs on seven hits in 3 1/3 innings of a loss to Eastern Illinois on Saturday. That came on the heels of a two-inning start against Houston the week before.
Van Horn said Knight would likely become a middle relief pitcher or could even close a game if he is taken out of the starting role.
