FAYETTEVILLE — Led by a pair of top-10 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, Arkansas leads the SEC and ranks No. 7 nationally in the current NCAA Directors’ Cup standings.
The Razorbacks are the only SEC program to rank in the top 35 of the initial standings.
The men’s cross country team finished sixth at the NCAA championships in Louisville last month, while the Arkansas women placed ninth.
Arkansas finished a program-best 16th last year in the Directors’ Cup, which has been ranking intercollegiate athletic programs since the 1993-94 school year.
The Razorbacks have finished in the top 30 in seven of the past eight years.
