Hogs have season to forget at home

FAYETTEVILLE — Moving forward, a competitive Arkansas football program will require more quarters like its final one at home in 2018.

The Razorbacks' 2-8 record includes a 2-4 mark in Fayetteville, the second consecutive season with that record on campus. The wins were over Eastern Illinois and Tulsa. The losses weren't really competitive.

Consider that if not for touchdowns in the final minute of games against North Texas, Alabama and Vanderbilt, the Razorbacks would have lost those games by 34, 41 and 21 points. Arkansas lost 24-17 to LSU on Saturday, thanks to two fourth-quarter touchdowns that gave the Razorbacks a puncher's chance in the closing minutes.
