FAYETTEVILLE -- This Arkansas Razorbacks basketball team had to overachieve to be ordinary, and it did.
Overall and SEC records of 16-15 and 9-9 going into Thursday's SEC Tournament game vs. Florida certainly seem less than spectacular. But they are better than most would have projected for Coach Mike Anderson's crew given the roster upheavals commencing at the close of the 2014-2015 season, which ended at 27-9, and continuing through the summer.
Individual improvement and resilience are among the team's pluses.
Every returning player improved markedly, some spectacularly. Center Moses Kingsley is a good example.
Kingsley has transformed from bit-part backup behind Bobby Portis to an All-SEC second-team selection with team-leading scoring and rebounding averages of 16.
