FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas treated its three-game series against Missouri like it usually does midweek games against the SWAC.
Not only did the No. 2 Razorbacks sweep the lowly Tigers, but they did so in historically dominant fashion. After crushing them 21-3 in Saturday’s series opener at Baum-Walker Stadium, they took both ends of Sunday’s doubleheader by scores of 14-4 and 16-2.
The 51 combined runs are the most Arkansas has ever scored in an SEC series, surpassing the previous mark of 50 set against South Carolina in 1997 at the height of the “gorilla ball” era of college baseball.
