Charles Mitchell scored 18 points and had 18 rebounds to lead Georgia Tech to an 83-73 win over Arkansas on Thursday at Barclays Center in New York.
The Yellow Jackets went on a 10-3 run to go up by double digits after the Razorbacks pulled to within 64-61 with just more than five minutes remaining.
Georgia Tech (4-1) advanced to the NIT Season Tip-Off championship game Friday against either Stanford or Villanova. The Razorbacks (2-2) will play one of those two teams in the consolation game Friday at 11:30 a.m.
The Yellow Jackets made 47 percent of their field goal attempts and controlled the game throughout.
