Dominic Taccolini and Zach Jackson struck out 10 batters and No. 22 Arkansas beat No. 24 Rice 5-2 Friday at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
Pitching in his hometown, Taccolini struck out six batters and allowed two runs in six innings. Jackson struck out four batters in a three-inning save.
The Razorbacks (6-0) scored two runs on a wild pitch and a Carson Shaddy sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to take a 4-2 lead after the game was tied. Shaddy added an RBI single in the top of the ninth inning to give Arkansas a 5-2 lead.
