Hogs blow eight-run lead, any last chance at NCAAs

Carson Shaddy picked up an opossum with his glove in centerfield and put it into a trash sack in the seventh inning of Arkansas’ game with LSU on Saturday night.

And that was the second strangest thing that happened.

LSU rallied from an eight-run deficit, scored four in the ninth and dispatched Arkansas on a bad Razorbacks decision in the 10th, 10-9, after a long, strange night at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge.

With a runner on second and one out, Kramer Robertson hit an infield single to Rick Nomura at second base who tried to get Robertson on a close play at first.
