FAYETTEVILLE – A first true glimpse of the Arkansas basketball team will be seen tonight at Bud Walton Arena.
The Razorbacks, off their deepest NCAA Tournament run in a decade, host Southwestern Oklahoma State University in the first of two exhibition games this season. Arkansas will open its regular season Friday, November 13, against Southern.
Arkansas lost all five starters from last year’s team that went 29-7 and lost in the third round of the NCAA Tournament. Bobby Portis and Michael Qualls left early for the NBA, Ky Madden and Alandise Harris had their eligibility exhausted and Anton Beard is suspended, his status determinant on a legal situation after he was arrested in the offseason on forgery charges.
