Hogs aim to carry 2nd-half prowess into opener

FAYETTEVILLE -- It was another sluggish first half and dominating second half for the University of Arkansas men's basketball team Friday night.

Arkansas pulled away to beat Southwest Baptist 100-63 in its second and final exhibition game before opening the regular season against Texas in a week.

The Razorbacks led Southwest Baptist 40-30 at halftime and were ahead 13-12 eight minutes into the game.

In Arkansas' 96-47 victory over Tusculum the previous week, the Razorbacks led 40-34 at halftime.

So the Razorbacks outscored their exhibition opponents -- both NCAA Division II teams -- 126-56 in the second half.
