FAYETTEVILLE — Former Arkansas coach and player Ken Hatfield has been appointed to the College Football Playoff selection committee.
Hatfield, 74, was one of six new members appointed to a three-year term Wednesday. Other new committee members include Pro Football Hall of Fame safety Ronnie Lott, Arizona State professor Paola Boivin and athletic directors Joe Castiglione of Oklahoma, Scott Stricklin of Florida and Todd Stansbury of Georgia Tech.
Hatfield compiled a 168-140-4 record in 27 seasons as a college head coach at Air Force, Arkansas, Clemson and Rice. He also was a member of the Razorbacks' 1964 national championship team as a defensive back and punt returner.
