Goodheart breaks out at needed time

On the same day Arkansas learned it could be without one of its best hitters for one to three weeks, the Razorbacks got another hitter back on track.

Batting leadoff, designated hitter Matt Goodheart was 1 for 4 with 3 RBI during Arkansas’ 6-4 victory over Vanderbilt at the SEC Tournament. Goodheart tied the game when he was hit in the helmet by a 95 mph fastball from Kumar Rocker in the second inning, and his two-run double against Rocker put the Razorbacks ahead 4-3 in the fourth.

Goodheart also made good contact in two of his outs, a positive sign one day after he was 0 for 6 with four strikeouts against Georgia.
