Tight end Josh Pederson traded in his golf clubs for football pads and he’s glad he did.
Pederson, 6-4, 205, 4.83 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Overland Park, (Kan.) Blue Valley North visited Arkansas for the Tennessee-Martin game last weekend. He played football until the eighth grade and then focused on golf.
“I thought golf was going to be my path and I thought it was going to be it for me and would be my ticket to college,” Pederson said.
His thinking started to change after the school’s newly hired coach and an older brother encouraged him to give football another try.
