Arkansas’ Jonathan Williams was one of the best running backs in the SEC in 2013 and ’14, rushing for a combined 2,090 yards and 16 TDs, but he missed 2015 after surgery on his left foot. Rather than finish up his college career in 2016, Williams decided to head to the NFL.
Gridironnow’s Amanda Borges discusses the pros and cons of Williams as an NFL prospect.
Williams (5 feet 11, 220 pounds) has good quickness and shiftiness, and will arrive in the NFL with a lot of tread left on his tires; he shared time at Arkansas and had only 406 career carries (as a comparison, Alabama’s Derrick Henry had 395 carries in 2015 alone).
