GN draft decisions: Arkansas RB Alex Collins

Collins joined Darren McFadden and Herschel Walker as the only players in SEC history to run for 1,000 yards in each of their first three seasons. He also finished his career 1,556 yards away from Walker’s league record of 5,259 and 887 away from McFadden’s total of 4,590, which is second in league history.

Gridironnow’s Amanda Borges looks at the pros and cons of Collins as an NFL running back.

Collins (5 feet 10, 217 pounds) is quick and decisive, and has shown an ability to be productive running between the tackles. He also showed at Arkansas that he can get to the edge and turn the corner.
