Arkansas commitment Kiel Pollard was excited but not caught off guard when he was named Georgia's Class 6A Offensive Player of the Year.
"It wasn't surprising because my coaches were telling me every week, I have a chance to end up being player of the year," said Pollard, who played at Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County High School.
Pollard, 6-2, 225, 4.68 seconds in the 40-yard dash, had 76 receptions for 1,163 yards and 18 touchdowns while leading the Packers to their second consecutive 15-0 record and the championship in the state's highest classification. The Packers also set a new Class 6A state scoring record with 700 points.
