Georgia game presents opportunity for Arkansas women's basketball to finish higher than predicted

FAYETTEVILLE — With six regular-season games remaining for the Arkansas women’s basketball team, its final stretch is about playing with pride.

The Razorbacks (9-16, 2-8 SEC) are aiming to steer clear from finishing in the SEC’s basement, where coaches and media alike voted them in the preseason.

They could take a major step toward avoiding last place fate Sunday.

Arkansas is scheduled to play Georgia in an 11 a.m. Central tipoff Sunday at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga. The Lady Bulldogs (9-15, 1-9) are tied with Missouri for last in the league.

Coach Mike Neighbors, who is in his eighth season with the Razorbacks, has not won at Georgia.
