FAYETTEVILLE — Saturday was a much-needed day of celebration at Baum-Walker Stadium.
Arkansas snapped a five-game losing streak in a big way. The No. 10 Razorbacks out-hit South Alabama 18-4 and defeated the Jaguars 15-2 to tie the weekend series at a game apiece. The teams will play the rubber game Sunday at noon.
The 13-run margin of victory was the largest this season for Arkansas (8-5) and came a day after the Jaguars (8-8) had season highs in hits and runs.
“I think the offense was ready to go,” Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn said.
