FAYETTEVILLE – Bret Bielema said after Saturday’s scrimmage the goal during this week’s practice was to begin to narrow his wide receiving corps to about a top six.
Apparently Duwop Mitchell is among that sextet.
Mitchell saw almost no time last year at wide receiver. His attitude wasn’t good enough for Bielema. The coach had moved him from quarterback to out wide because of his athleticism and Mitchell was a long time accepting it. There were rumors last fall he might transfer Mitchell apparently hated it so bad at times.
Time’s change. And Mitchell is now a threat for 20-plus catches as a sophomore.
