Texas A&M fans may have another chance to see former Aggies running back Rakeem Boyd play SEC West football – but this time, he’ll be in a different backfield.
Boyd, who spent the 2017 season at Independence Community College in Kansas, committed to Arkansas Monday, announcing his decision on Twitter:
Boyd, a 5-11, 200-pound running back, was rated as a three-star prospect when he signed with the Aggies in 2016 out of Houston Stratford. He didn’t play in 2016, and transferred away from the program in May.
At Independence, though, he revitalized his career and finished the season with 1,211 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns on the ground.
