FAYETTEVILLE - Former Arkansas running back Jonathan Williams was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated early Thursday morning in Fayetteville.
Williams, who left Arkansas after last season and was drafted by the Buffalo Bills earlier this year, was stopped at the Martin Luther King Boulevard and Stadium Drive around 2 a.m. and booked into the Washington County jail at 3:21 a.m. for DWI and failure to consent to a breath test. Williams was released at 5:29 a.m.
The arrest comes less than one day after his former coach Bret Bielema remarked about his team’s relatively low arrest rate compared to other SEC schools.
