Former Arkansas offensive lineman Nate Garner was introduced Tuesday as the head football coach at North Greenville University, a Division II team in Tigerville, S.C.
Garner, who will turn 40 on Saturday, lettered for the Razorbacks from 2004-07. Garner has spent the past three seasons as an offensive line coach at Division II Limestone College in South Carolina.
“I’m very blessed and honored to up here in front of y’all,” Garner said in a short speech.
At North Greenville, Garner will replace outgoing 12-year coach Jeff Farrington. The Trailblazers will transition to Conference Carolinas and away from the Gulf South Conference in Garner’s first season.
