The spiraling Arkansas basketball season took another hit Tuesday night when it was revealed that Boogie Fland will miss the rest of the year because of a hand injury.
College basketball insider Jon Rothstein first reported the news a couple hours after the star freshman was declared “out” on the SEC’s initial availability report for the Arkansas vs Georgia game, which is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT Wednesday and will be televised on SEC Network.
Not having Fland against the Bulldogs wasn’t particularly surprising, given John Calipari’s comments following the Missouri loss on Saturday. Then, during his radio show Monday night, the Hall of Fame coach said he was “doubtful at best.
