FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football signed 22 high school players and one transfer Wednesday on the first day of the early national signing period.
Arkansas’ class of high school signees is ranked 28th overall and 13th in the Southeastern Conference by 247Sports, ahead of where the Razorbacks stood entering the day.
All but one of the high school signees, preferred walk-on punter Gavin Rush, are scholarship players. Two more verbal commitments, 3-star running back Markeylin Batton out of Atlanta, Texas, and 3-star offensive tackle Connor Howes out of Kissimmee, Fla., have not yet signed.
There were multiple signing day surprises for the Razorbacks, including two flips from other programs.
