Faces in the Crowd: Meet 'The Girl Who Knits' in the Hog Pen at Arkansas baseball games

FAYETTEVILLE — When the Arkansas baseball team scores a run, countless fans sitting in the Hog Pen in left field at Baum-Walker Stadium raise flags in the air. There are all kinds of flags, all of varying heights and sizes, some with custom designs and others with classic logos.

One in particular, almost always in the same spot up against the fence above the corner of the visitor’s bullpen, stands out. Only it isn’t a flag at all.

It’s a long, rectangular banner made of yarn, hand-knit by Razorback fan Christina Barnes. It reads “Woo Pig” on one side and “Hogs” on the other.
