Expect the 3 when North Florida visits Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE – There are not likely to be 10,000 spectators at Bud Walton Arena on Tuesday night. The Arkansas opponent does not hold a lot of name value. Winter break is arrived for students.

It might be for all the better. The last game out was unattractive and, more importantly, a loss. At least almost no one saw it.

Saturday’s Arkansas loss to Mercer was not televised. It was the lone game, now a standard on the schedule, in North Little Rock at Verizon Arena. The Razorbacks shot 38 percent in a 69-66 overtime loss. Like the last 69-66 loss the team suffered, against Stanford last month, the Mercer one was just as much a shot to the stomach.
