Crawford grew up in Mobile, Ala., and life wasn’t easy.
“My mother was on drugs or whatever. My father was away in California doing his thing,” Crawford said on my radio show.
The wrong crowd would surround Crawford during his teenage years. But for him, it was all he had.
“Watching drug deals. Watching shootouts. Being involved in those types of things. Going to school and not really caring. Waking up and wishing your days were better. It was tough,” he said.
