An inspiring win over a bitter conference rival capped off a massive week for the Arkansas basketball team. After a resume-boosting victory over Missouri on Saturday, the Razorbacks put together a gutsy home win over Texas with only seven healthy players available because Adou Thiero was sidelined with a hyperextended knee.
The pair of wins has Arkansas firmly in the driver’s seat of its own NCAA Tournament destiny – though nothing comes easy, especially without their top two leading scorers on the year in Thiero and Boogie Fland.
The other seven guys on the court showed a great amount of resilience even as Texas stormed back to force overtime after being down 14 midway through the second half.
