In April, the NCAA allowed college football coaches to send text messages to prospects and about a month later recruits seem to like it. Previously, coaches could communicate with prospects by Twitter, Facebook and e-mail.
In 2007, the NCAA banned texting for college football coaches. The NCAA allowed college basketball coaches to text prospects starting June 15 of 2012 and the practice continues.
