Early enrollees' time is now as Hogs start spring practice

FAYETTEVILLE -- A big chunk of the University of Arkansas' No. 23-rated signing class enrolled in January and will hit the field with the returning veterans when the Razorbacks open spring drills today.

A school-record 10 early scholarship enrollees have been attending classes for nearly two months and laboring through strength and conditioning coach Trumain Carroll's winter conditioning.

The head start is significant for the group, which features receivers Trey Knox and Shamar Nash, graduate transfer quarterback Ben Hicks, defensive linemen Eric Gregory, Mataio Soli and Zach Williams, defensive backs Gregory Brooks Jr. and Devin Bush, and junior college offensive lineman Myron Cunningham and Chibueze Nwanna.
