FAYETTEVILLE — Connecticut coach Geno Auriemma said before Thursday's game at Arkansas that the Huskies couldn't let the Razorbacks score their season average of 85 points per game or they would lose.
The second all-time winningest coach in women's college basketball was right.
No. 19 Arkansas surpassed its season scoring average, and led by Chelsea Dungee's season-high 37 points the Razorbacks beat No. 3 UConn 90-87 for the program's first win in two tries against the women's basketball powerhouse.
"We've been on a little bit of a tough stretch, but I think we got back to the things that we do best and it showed tonight.
