FAYETTEVILLE — Derrick Joe recently allowed himself to reflect a bit.
Coming out of Fort Smith Northside, Isaiah Joe was rated the No. 2 player in the state of Arkansas in the class of 2018 by ESPN. He was listed at 6-foot-1 and 160 pounds.
Those measurements jumped out at his father as he called up the recruiting profile a few days ago. Fast forward to 2020, Isaiah Joe stands four inches taller and 20 pounds heavier, according to Arkansas’ official roster.
“All of that growth that happened when he was a 5-9 ninth grader to what he is today, just watching that and not knowing that was going to happen … I know we’re kind of late bloomers in my family, but you still don’t how much growth there’s going to be,” Derrick Joe said.
