FAYETTEVILLE — Senior defensive lineman Dorian Gerald's status for Saturday's game at Mississippi State remains unclear two days from kickoff.
Arkansas coach Sam Pittman said Gerald injured his ankle in the Razorbacks' season-opening loss to No. 4 Georgia and that the staff was taking a wait-and-see approach in terms of his availability this weekend.
Gerald, who started against the Bulldogs at the JACK position, did not practice on Tuesday.
"Well, I don't know," Pittman said Thursday when asked if Gerald had made progress and could factor into the game this week. "We’re hoping (he is able to play), but as of right now we’ll just have to kind of wait and see.
