After the SEC Championship game, Mike Anderson went on Paul Finebaum’s show to defend his players against Dick Vitale. Not too long after Anderson said his piece on “that announcer”, Vitale came on and essentially said the coach was making things up.
In case you missed what Anderson said, I wrote this article with the video of Anderson included. The basic point of Anderson’s defense was that Vitale didn’t even know the name of the players yet he spoke on their character and Anderson said Dick was wrong for that.
Vitale went on the show and had some interesting things to say, specifically about one thing that Anderson said in his defense.
