Diamond Hogs hoping Gonzaga not a repeat of last year

FAYETTEVILLE - This time last year Arkansas was one game worse than it was today. Instead of 10-2, the baseball team’s current record, the Razorbacks were 9-3 as Gonzaga came to visit Baum Stadium.

Not long after the Zags left, Arkansas was 11-12, a shell of its former self. A team on the cusp high rankings had won two games since Gonzaga came into Fayetteville and smacked Dave Van Horn’s team in a two-game series by a combined score of 21-7.

The year ended fine, of course. Arkansas made the College World Series. But the hope Van Horn carries to not have to go through that mess again.
