Arkansas’ 12-4 victory over Memphis Wednesday night at AutoZone Park was a welcome lift for the Razorbacks after they went 1-3 last weekend, losing at Oklahoma State and dropping two of three SEC games against Missouri.
Missouri took the series by beating Arkansas 8-5 Saturday night and 10-1 Sunday for the Tigers’ first conference victories after an 0-7 start.
“After the way we played Sunday, we kind of needed a wake-up call,” Arkansas pitcher Zach Jackson said of beating Memphis. “That wasn’t only a win we got, but every aspect of our game looked really good — pitching and hitting and defense.
