The Seattle Seahawks selected Alex Collins in the fifth round, with the 171st overall pick, of the 2016 NFL Draft Saturday afternoon in Chicago.
He joins Hunter Henry and Jonathan Williams as former Razorbacks taken in the draft.
Collins is coming off one of the best seasons ever by an Arkansas running back, rushing for 1,577 yards and 20 touchdowns to earn second-team all-SEC honors.
His touchdown total broke Bill Burnett’s UA single-season record (19) set in 1969, while he had the third-most yards in a single-season in UA history.
With at least 1,000 in each of his three seasons with the Razorbacks, Collins finished his career with 3,703 rushing yards – which ranks second in UA history behind Darren McFadden’s 4,590 – and 36 touchdowns.
