FAYETTEVILLE — There was nothing surprising about new Georgia Coach Kirby Smart’s interest in talking to Arkansas offensive coordinator Dan Enos shortly after Smart took the Bulldogs’ reins.
Enos’ first season in the SEC was an ultrasuccessful one.
Under Enos’ direction, Arkansas ranked No. 2 in total offense with 456.8 yards per game and in scoring with 35.2 points per game.
Fortunately for Coach Bret Bielema, he was able to wave the SEC noncompete clause in Enos’ contract at Smart and fend off the inquiry, which ultimately led to the Razorbacks’ losing offensive line coach Sam Pittman to join his buddy Jim Chaney at Georgia.
