Arkansas baseball’s sweep of the Charlotte 49ers, which concluded with a 4-3 walk-off win on Sunday afternoon, was anything but ordinary.
From overcoming an eight-run deficit in a single inning on Friday to Parker Coil tossing an immaculate eight inning in the finale, this series truly had it all.
The first two games against Charlotte were a sharp break from Arkansas’ usual formula of great pitching fueling the team to victory, as the 49ers tagged the Razorback pitching staff for a season-high 10 runs in Game 1 before adding six more in Game 2. Fortunately, the Arkansas bats had enough juice in them to score a combined 19 runs to secure the series.
