FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas safety Jalen Catalon received more preseason recognition Monday.
A redshirt junior and team captain for the Razorbacks in previous seasons, Catalon was named to The Associated Press’ preseason All-America team as a second-team safety. He has also recently picked up All-America honors from Sporting News, Phil Steele and CBS Sports.
Eager to return to the field after missing the final seven games of last season because of shoulder and hand injuries, Catalon finished eighth on the team with 46 tackles in 2021. He broke up four passes in six games and had two interceptions in the season opener against Rice.
