Former Arkansas sprinter Veronica Campbell-Brown took fourth in the 100 meters in 11.10 seconds Friday night at the Jamaican Senior National Championships in Kingston.
Campbell-Brown, attempting to run in her fifth Olympics, didn’t qualify in the 100 by taking one of the top three spots, but can still make the Jamaican team in the 200 — her best event — and possibly could be included in the group of sprinters for the 400 relay. She will run in the 200 semifinals tonight. The final is Sunday night.
Campbell-Brown, 34, has won seven Olympic medals, including two gold medals in the 200, while competing in 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012.
