Zach Jackson is too valuable to only pitch once a series.
Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn determined in the off-season after meeting with Jackson that the junior preseason All-American will continue to work out of the bullpen.
Apparently Jackson showed some desire to be a full-time starter. Van Horn revealed at last week’s UA media day that after conferring with Hogs pitching coach Dave Jorn, that the coaches told Jackson they wanted him to remain in a bullpen role.
"He was great with it," Van Horn said. "It could change later on. If it came where we weren't using him enough, we have no problem starting him.
