If Arkansas desperately needed a victory over Missouri, it did not hurt to have some good ol’ brand-name mojo in the building.
Bud Walton Arena welcomed back the 1990 Final Four team, commemorating the 35th anniversary of an accomplished and trailblazing team in the annals of Hog basketball. A halftime ceremony that jazzed the crowd proved to give the young guys a jolt, too.
Down seven at the half, Arkansas outgunned Mizzou after the break, scoring more than 50 in a polished 92-85 win. Five Hogs reached double figures.
And when the game was in a tenuous state, those raucous cheers for several alumni and a full-throated ovation for Nolan Richardson buoyed the 2024-25 version.
