Bri Ellis named national player of the week by D1Softball

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas first baseman Bri Ellis was named national player of the week by D1Softball on Tuesday following her strong weekend at the Louisiana Tech Classic.

Over five games, the senior from Houston batted .667 with 4 home runs and 15 RBI in 12 at-bats. Ellis had an on-base percentage of .722 and her slugging percentage was 1.917.

Ellis was named SEC player of the week Monday, her fourth time to earn the award.

Her weekend was highlighted by a two-homer performance Saturday in a 12-4 victory over Southern Miss. She also hit a grand slam during Sunday’s 12-3 win over the Golden Eagles and homered in Friday’s 9-1 win over Louisiana Tech.
